Vishvas Ramesh

• Developed and enhanced 5G NR MAC Layer features for DCI-based and RRC-based BWP switching, including BWP state management, DCI generation, scheduling, and UE transition handling as per 3GPP specifications.
• Implemented and validated Dynamic CFI (DCFI) for dynamic PDCCH/CORESET symbol allocation, supporting multiple CORESET configurations and optimizing control-channel resource utilization.
• Debugged complex MAC scheduling issues involving PDCCH/CCE allocation, PDSCH/PUSCH scheduling, HARQ, DCI decoding, BWP transitions, and UE scheduling behavior using L2 logs, UE logs, and PCAP analysis.
• Designed and executed feature-level and multi-UE test scenarios to validate BWP and DCFI functionality and improve early defect detection.
• Enhanced 5G NR MAC layer functionality for improved performance.

RLC layer

• Developed and debugged 5G NR RLC layer functionality, with hands-on experience in AM/UM procedures, RLC timers, retransmission, reassembly, and delivery mechanisms.
• Worked on CMAS/ETWS emergency notification support, including RLC-layer message handling and end-to-end feature validation.
• Strong understanding of RLC Status PDU, including ACK/NACK handling, missing SN reporting, retransmission control, and AM-mode error recovery.
