  • As a Technical Manager/Architect - Oversaw all phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) like Requirement gathering, Analysis, Development, Implementation & Testing of the project. Involved in coordination of partners & working groups engaged in project work.
  • For Agile project organized and facilitated daily stand-ups & retrospectives at the end of each sprint, created an environment in which the team is continuously learning from the past.
  • Worked on Mainframe Modernization of legacy application to Java. Involved in activities starting from Discovery phase, Assessment phase, Code Re-factoring, Deployment, Testing, Approvals etc.
  • Have used Mainframe Migration tools such as Micro Focus Enterprise tools for Portfolio analysis, AWS Bluage Insights, AWS Bluage Velocity & Heirloom Computing (Elastic Cobol, setting up runtime environment) for Code Re-factoring, VS Code, IBM IDz, Eclipse IDE, Jenkins DevOps.
  • Used AWS BluAge Insights for Inventory Analysis, identifying the gaps (missing components, Views/Tables/Copybooks, dead code etc), generating reports, ER diagrams, Verification reports.
    - AWS Bluage Velocity (Versions 3.2, 4.2, 4.3) for transform, refactor, generate steps ie; DSL (Domain Specific Language) COBOL code to Java.
    - Using gap walk application/utilities, AWS AppStream 2.0 (SaaS - allows users to access desktop applications), Set up configuration for AWS Bluage Runtime, AWS Bluage Refactoring Toolbox, resolving issues.
    - Built a REST API to receive the requests from front-end user & then call the underlying business application deployed in Bluage Environment.
  • Installation of Heirloom Probe on Ubuntu Instance, then used Probe for Inventory Analysis - generate reports.
  • Heirloom Elastic COBOL (Eclipse IDE) on Windows Instance for re-factoring COBOL to Java. Built a facade around existing COBOL logic to create a service (a method for wrapping existing code with a facade wizard to create a service).
  • Data migration from Db2 to PostgreSQL using AWS SCT.
