Proactive risk and compliance assessments:

• Led a proactive compliance review for a multinational pharmaceutical company, performing data analysis and transaction testing on purchases, sales, and expenses to ensure adherence to relevant policies while identifying deviations.
• Evaluated the company's policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), highlighting and addressing policy gaps. Assisted in the development and implementation of new policies to address these identified gaps.
• Conducted an Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption (ABAC) review for distributors, gifts, donations, and tenders.
• Performed an FCPA compliance review for an Indian subsidiary of a US-based pharmaceutical and medical devices company. Areas reviewed included third-party intermediary payments and due diligence, interactions with HCPs, and travel and entertainment expenses for employees.

Investigations:

• Led corporate fraud investigations pertaining to global pharmaceutical and medical device companies, wherein performed vendor reviews to investigate claims of forged customer orders, false invoices, excess pricing, and margin claims, product diversion, billing adjustments, vendor collusion, and kickbacks paid by vendors to company employees.
• Worked on whistleblowing allegations received by pharmaceutical companies on complaints of distributors sponsoring private HCPs for attending international events, and sponsoring events being held at tropical destinations.

• Assisted in statutory audit of the financial statements of listed as well as non-listed companies in various sectors such as manufacturing, education, hospitality, and entertainment industry (all 20 crore+ t/o).
• Assisted in reporting on internal controls over financial reporting and was involved in the preparation of Risk Control Matrix and Test of Operating Effectiveness.
