· Completely responsible for managing Kubernetes clusters. Both cloud as well as OnPrem.

· Architect the setup for hosting multiple teams and multiple applications on the Kubernetes clusters hosted both on-prem as well as AKS.

· Work with DevOps team to create end-to-end automated pipelines from code push to code deploy on Kubernetes.

· Writing the k8s manifest templates, helm templates, etc. for CICD & automation purpose.

· Provisioning Logging & monitoring Mechanism etc.

· Responsible for Upgrade of clusters etc, communicating about the various changes, About the api changes etc.

· Also responsible for upgrading various dependent plugins such as

· Nginx-ingress,

· Istio,

· Other related plugins etc.

· Jenkins pipeline to automate many day2day Kubernetes related activities such as:

1. Namespace creation.

2. Role binding creation.

3. Storage Account creation

4. Nginx-Ingress creation, Istio Creation.

5. External image pull, scan, push automation.

· Supporting App teams with the k8s related support such as:

· Writing/Updating the docker files, k8s yaml files

· Document various Kubernetes related process so as to help teams with changes in Kubernetes.

· Helping in identify the app-k8s related issues.

· Helping with various issues such as

• Configuring Nginx-ingress.yml file.

• Help configure the Configuration Maps, Secrets, app configurations etc

• Mounting Volumes, maintaining state etc

· Deploying the app, exposing it’s api’s.

· Migrating application from on-prim to cloud using k8s technologies.

· Responsible for provisioning and managing Application on Kubernetes clusters.

· Configuring the Kubernetes yaml files, managing the helm chart for team etc.

· Managing the app security by using Pod Capabilities, network policies etc.

· Writing the k8s manifest files, helm templates etc for CICD & automation purpose.

· Supporting the team with the k8s environment by:

· Writing the docker files, k8s yaml files

· Configuring the Configuration Maps, Secrets, app configurations etc

· Mounting Volumes, maintaining state etc

· Deploying the app, exposing it’s api’s.

· Configuring the High Availability, HPA, maintaining the State of the app etc.

Cloud Migration (Jan 2019 – Dec 2020)

Role Summary: Kubernetes Application Developer

· Migrated the application hosted on on-prim servers to Microsoft Azure.

· Created and Implemented Azure DevOps pipelines for various microservices to deploy on AKS.

· Automated continuous deployment of applications on Kubernetes using helm.

· Installed, configured, backed up & restored production level CouchDB database.

· Installed & configured ELK (Elastic Logstash Kibana) stack for logging.

· Configured Jenkins slaves/Gitlab runners on k8s cluster to provide on demand instances.

· Wrote scripts for migrating repos, backup & restored DB’s etc.

· Built and deployed Docker containers to break up monolithic application into micro service.

Role Summary: Integration Engineer/Deployment engineer

· Configuring & maintaining the pipelines to integrate the code & deploy it on various deployments.

· Troubleshooting the various issues which includes Infra level, connectivity level, deployment specific, code related etc.
