Projects:-

Preprocessor for Structural Analysis using ANSA

  • Meshing of Floor Panel using ANSA: Midsurface generated using skin offset and feature selection tool. Geometry checked thoroughly and edited. Batch meshing tool used for mesh generation, Tria concentration checked and edited mesh Thickness assigned to the respective PID 2D
  • meshing on the instrumental Panel using ANSA: Mid mesh generated using casting method for irregular geometry and non-uniform thickness Align manager tool used for aligning mid mesh to original CAD. Automatic thickness assigned using Grids-Thickness option.

HyperMesh for FEA Plastic and Sheet Metal Applications

  • Meshing of Side Door Inner Panel using Hypermesh : Offset tool used for mid surface generation Feature capturing, proper mesh flow ensured and failing elements eliminated for the mentioned quality criteria. Different thickness components to be kept in different component IDs
  • Meshing of Rear Wheel Holder using Hypermesh: Sheet metal components have single thickness, auto midsurface generation tools can be used for midsurface creation. Batch meshing tool used for mesh generation Tria element concentration kept low and proper mesh flow maintained.

Structural analysis and design optimization of front Axle beam:

  • Front axle beam is a very important component of a vehicle. It carries about 35–40 per cent of the total load of the vehicle. It experiences fatigue loading due to various factors, so it is very crucial to analyse the axle for its fatigue life. The fatigue life of axle beam can be approximated close to practical values by using finite element analysis and the design is optimised by changing material used and comparing their performance

Energy harvesting speed Humps:

  • A large amount of kinetic energy is wasted in speed breaker humps. Some of this energy can convert into electrical energy by using power humps on the road. A speed breaker is connected to the rack and pinion mechanism at its bottom side, further pinion is connected to an alternator. Reciprocating motion of speed breaker is converted into rotary motion, which able to rotate alternator, thus produce electricity
