The purpose of this position is to maintain and upgrade enterprise GIS software, geodatabases, services, and web applications for the organization. The System Administrator will also coordinate with internal resources and GIS technical support to keep the infrastructure updated, scaled according to capacity needs and performing optimally. Weekly reports documenting the GIS system health, project status, and support issues as well as providing support for GIS software through the IT Help Desk system and provides employee training for general desktop GIS skills.

Ensure your data in Geometric Network is properly formatted and organized for migration into the Utility Network.

Check for any inconsistencies or errors in the data that could affect the loading process.

Validate data integrity to prevent issues during the migration.

Use tools or scripts provided by the Utility Network software to import data from Geometric Network into the Utility Network.

Verify that the data has been accurately transferred and that there are no missing or corrupted elements.

Configure the Utility Network according to your specific requirements and infrastructure layout.

Define asset types, network rules, subnetworks, and other parameters necessary for the Utility Network's functionality.

Validate the Utility Network Configuration tables to ensure they accurately represent your utility infrastructure and operational requirements.

Check for consistency and completeness in the configuration tables.

Verify that the configuration aligns with your organization's standards and regulatory requirements.

Conduct thorough testing to validate the functionality of the Utility Network.

Test various scenarios to ensure that the network behaves as expected under different conditions.

Validate the accuracy of network analysis results and simulations.

Address any issues or discrepancies identified during testing.

Document the entire process, including data loading procedures, configuration settings, and validation results.

Establish a maintenance plan to regularly update and manage the Utility Network as changes occur in your infrastructure or operational requirements.

• ArcGIS Enterprise platform server software administration including patches, upgrading server software, system troubleshooting, backups, permission, etc,
• ArcGIS Enterprise Installation and configuration
• ArcGIS Enterprise release management and license management and testing.
• Participate in all phase of the software lifecycle with an emphasis on system maintenance, configuration, integration and information assurance.
• Work closely with IT team to upgrade and configure system software that supports GIS AWS infrastructure application.
• Collaborate with software developers, product managers and other cross-functional teams to design, build, and deliver new ArcGIS Enterprise capabilities for cloud environments such as AWS.
• Contribute to the design process of cloud-native microservices-based software products.
• Migration of ArcGIS Enterprise to Microsoft Aws
• Perform ongoing performance tuning, reporting data resource optimization as required.
• Performing Administration of ArcGIS Enterprise System.
• Troubleshoots issues by reviewing logs, performing data queries, recreating steps & interacting with users.
• Geodatabase administrator to integrate geospatial database with external data sources and establish workflows including PostGIS.
• Incident and problem management during office hours (level2-3 resolution).
• Clearly and effectively communicate technical information to non-technical and technical users.
• Works with GIS team to ensure data quality and completeness.
• Documents work process, instruction and procedures.
• Support strategic GIS team mission and goals and help guide technical vision.
