Responsibilities handled as QC Piping Inspector.

• Verification of isometric dawning with respect to P&ID.
• Fit-up inspection of weld joint.
• Release accepted materials to production and follow up to return the rejected material to
• supplier for the replacement.
• Monitor and carry out day to day inspection activities such as marking, edge preparation, fit-up, welding and assembly work.
• Coordinating with client/consultants while the inspection is being carried out and offer any clarification is required. Selection of Existing WPS/PQR to suite the project requirement.
• Review the Inspection Test Plan (ITP) as per project requirements.
• Witness of alignment, orientation and dimensions of installed piping.
• To check whether pipes are stored in shipping crates or on racks.
• Assures that all joints are exposed for examination during pressure test, ensuring vents are open when filling and draining lines.
• Witnessing of Flange joint assembly and bolt torque.
• Ensure the blinds are removed and correct rating gaskets are installed.
• Inspection of gaskets, supports, valves prior to line reinstatement acceptance as per the latest drawing for construction, codes and specification standards.
• Surveillance and monitoring of piping, structural, welding and all other activities both on fabrication shop and work site. Review/maintain calibration records of Inspection / Test Equipment.
• Monitor and control welding consumables.
• Coordinate with Engineering Department regarding design modification encountered during final inspection.
• Reviewing test package and getting approval from client.
• Conducting pre-test line check of erected line spools as per the test pack and preparing punch list.
• Checking actual test limits for the installation of blinds and test pressure on the approved test packages.
• Air blowing and flushing to be done the hydro test package.
• Verify and close the B punch and prepare the reinstatement.
• Assist client representative for company auditing concerning quality matters.
• Closing of master punches.
• Maintaining Material traceability.
• Reviewed WPS / PQR / Welder qualification records.
• Dimensional Checks Fit up/ Tolerance Checks Visual Inspection of welds and all other activities related to Quality Control.
• Inspection of welding activities at fabrication shop.
• Perform the job as per required specification, standards and codes.
• Maintaining all quality documents related to inspection and testing.
• Coordinating with NDT personnel on NDT related issues.
• Initiating actions to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformity.
• Performing visual inspection on fabricated part.
• Interpret/Review NDT reports and maintain all related file and records.
• Working knowledge in NDT Such as PT, MT, RT.
• Ensure that Inspection / Testing equipment at site are with valid calibration.
• Quality Inspection of raw material like pipes, of all materials.
• Familiar with types of materials like SS, CS, ALLOY STEELS etc.

Hydro testing: -

• Issue pre-hydro test punches and clear it before hydro, follow up of each test package punch list item and insure the smooth flow of package between various departments.
• Verifying NDT Reports prior to perform the Hydro test.
• Perform water quality test to ensure SRB and chloride content within specified limit.
• Carrying out visual inspection of line before hydro testing to ensure complete inline bolting.
• Verification of Pressure Gauges, Pressure Relief Valve, Testing unit Calibration certificates.
• Preparation of final test reports and documentations.
• Bolt Torquing and Valve installation: -Perform Inspection of Internal cleaning, flange face inspection, gasket verification, bolt torquing and valve installation. Verify valve type, class and rating as per IFC drawing and field pressure test report before installation.

Responsibilities handled as QC Inspector in Machining division: -

• Continual interface and communication with various personnel, including engineering, suppliers, management, and production staff.
• Generation and provision of detailed documentation and reports.
• Use of precision measurement instruments, including calipers, micrometers, Dial gauge, Bore gauge, Vision Systems.
• Coordination of inspection tools and gauges calibration. Performance of internal calibration on
• a variety hand tools (micrometers, calipers, etc).
• Understanding and utilization of various blueprints and schematics.
• Supervision of quality control staff.
• Analysis of defects; initiation, approval, and confirmation effectiveness of corrective and
• preventative actions implemented both internally and by local and overseas suppliers.
• Inspected product to specification of work order.
• Identified and eliminated surface defects.
