New Business Initiatives:

• New washery setup at NCL and CCL coalfields to increase customer base and revenue.
• Develop team for RCR and CHA business at NCL and CCL.
• Coal Procurement through E-Auction from different subsidiaries of Coal India.

Tendering:

• Documents scrutiny and provide inputs for various tender like washery, RCR and CHA contract.
• Visit customer place along with team for price negotiation and finalization of contract.

Coordination and Liaisoning:

• Coordination and Liaisoning with coal companies and Railways for allocation and materialization of coal.
• Coordination with Coal India, MOC and Railway Board for smooth operation and policy related matter.
• Liaison with local administrations for allotment of land for setting up new washery.

Operations:

• Acting as a Team Leader for sourcing and Logistics of Domestic coal from SECL under Fuel Supply agreement (FSA).
• Annually sourcing about 55.5 Lakh MT (~Rs. 2500 Cr) of coal under direct Rail, Washery and RCR mode.
• Ensure timely and cost effective materialization of coal as per plants quality and quantity requirements.
• Coordination and liaison with coal companies and Railways for allocation and materialization of coal.
• Coordination with CIMFR for coal sampling at loading end.
• Ensure timely execution of various agreements and MoU's with Railways (Freight payment agreements), CIMFR (Third Party sampling agreements).
• Monitoring day to day operations with coal company and resolving operational issues for uninterrupted supply of coal.
• Timely reconciliation with SECL and CIMFR for issuance of Credit/Debit notes.
• Identification of potential mines and sidings for future supplies.
• Sourcing of Imported Coal as per plant requirement.

Tendering:

• Tender documents preparation for various RCR, Washery, CHA and Imported coal requirement.
• Tender evaluation, complete E bidding followed by reverse auction in coordination with Punjab State Power Cooperation Limited (PSPCL).

Vendor Management:

• Day to day coordination with venders and ensuring vender issues for timely supply of coal.
• Identifying and developing potential venders/ suppliers for achieving cost effectiveness and assessing performance based on critical parameters.
• Vendor sourcing, introduction & registration of new venders based on the vender's market reputation & market share.
• Vendor categorization based on the spend and criticality.
• Vendor ratting based on their quality delivery and performance.

Planning and Monitoring:

• Yearly/Quarterly coal planning based on PLF & available sources.
• Monitoring of various policies, decisions of MOC/MOP/CEA/PSERC/CERC.
• Monitoring of Imported coal price trends (South African/Indonesian)
• Monitoring of various e-auctions conducted by Coal India subsidiaries.

Budget Planning:

• Part of team responsible for annual coal budget preparation.

• Responsible for performing and managing operations in Railway yard of NPL.
• Unloading of coal within stipulated time and ensured releasing of rakes without demurrage.
• Coordinate with Northern Railway for smooth functioning of Railway siding.
• Handled team of 60 manpower for overall monitoring and day to day operations of Railway Siding.

• Planning and giving targets to contractors of each activity like Earthwork, Blanketing, Bridge work, Track work, OHE and S&T work for timely completion of project.
• Supervision of Mechanical and Civil work to ensure quality of work.
• Inspection and processing of contractor’s bills.
• Preparation of documents for getting Central excise duty exemption certificate under mega Power Policy for material used in Railway construction.
• Procurement process of locomotives and finalization of its O&M contracts.
• Worked in key position while approval of various drawings and plans from Railways like detailed project report (DPR), Engineering Scale plan (ESP), Signaling Interlocking plan (SIP) Layout Plan (LOP), Land Licensing plan, Various GAD’s and SD for Bridges etc.

• Business development activities for 3000 MW Coal based Supercritical Technology Project for which MOU was signed with Government of Madhya Pradesh.
• Research and Analysis of Electricity market with respect to electricity rates (Merchant Power and Power Purchase Agreement).
• Suitable land identification for upcoming Thermal Power Project.
• Liaising work with Government officials for Singrauli Project.

• Conceptualizing & implementing competitive strategies/ business plan for generating sales, developing and expanding market share towards the achievement of revenue & profitability targets.
• Providing services and welding solutions to the customers such as NTPC, Hindalco, Coal India, Reliance Power, Essar Power, JP Power, Lanco Power & UPSEB’s Plants.
• Maintained healthy business relations with customer and major channel partner.
• Increased sales in the Singrauli area by 60% and enhanced the market share in Singrauli region from 35% to 48% in 02 years.
• Played a major role in enhancing profitability and achieving business objective within budgeted parameter.

• Sales and Services of welding product with customer like NTPC, Hindalco, Coal India, Reliance Power, Essar Power, JP Power, Lanco Power & UPSEB’s plant.
• Increased sales in the Singrauli area by 20% thereby contributing 2.5 Cr to the turnover.

• Equipment erection like Crusher, Vibrating Screens, Filters, Apron feeder etc. in Iron ore crushing plant
• Construction of material handling plants like Belt conveyor, chain Conveyor etc.
• Fabrication of structural infrastructures.
