Roles and Responsibilities

• Working as a Senior Software Engineer on HSBC’s global trading platform modernisation initiative to replace the legacy Fidessa OMS/EMS with a next-generation trading system (Adaptive).
  The project involves Prism, a critical middleware platform that ingests raw trading data from upstream systems, transforms it into a canonical format, and distributes it to multiple downstream consumers in both Canonical and FIX formats.
  The platform is designed for high-throughput, low-latency financial data processing using GCP services, delivering real-time trade/order data to risk, compliance, and back-office systems.
• Streaming & Data Pipelines: Designed and developed real-time data pipelines to convert raw trade/order messages to Canonical format to FIX messages, leveraging Apache Beam (Dataflow), Kafka, Solace, and GCP Pub/Sub for scalable message processing and reliable delivery.
• Cloud-Native Architecture: Implemented GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine) workloads to persist Raw data to BigQuery and Canonical data to BigQuery for historical storage and analytics.
  Built reprocessing utilities on GKE to handle production failures, allowing on-demand reprocessing of trading data with zero downtime.
  Designed serverless Cloud Run applications to perform reconciliation, reporting, and report generation, while minimising infrastructure costs.
• Data Management and Analytics: Integrated Schema Registry for contract validation and enforced schema evolution for Avro/JSON payloads. Built Looker Studio dashboards on top of BigQuery to provide real-time trading insights and operational monitoring.
• Infrastructure & CI/CD: Automated GCP resource management and deployments using Terraform and Jenkins CI/CD pipelines to enable repeatable, consistent, and secure releases.
• Production Support & Optimisation: Created utilities for on-demand reprocessing of failed trades to maintain data accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  Tuned pipelines for low latency and high throughput, ensuring performance under heavy market volumes.
• Cross-Platform Migration: Actively collaborated with upstream and downstream teams to support the transition from Fidessa to Adaptive, including dual-run environments, message reconciliation, and downstream schema mapping.

• An axiom is a tool used by the Federal Reserve System for reporting purposes. Feeds are received daily from upstream (TDS). Based on that, Axiom processes those feeds, generates reports, and stores data in Oracle. The processed data are again filtered and presented to clients through web applications.

Roles and Responsibilities:  Developing shell scripts, different objects in Axiom, generating reports, and showing those reports to the client.
Communication with the client manager and the offshore team.
Gathering requirements from the client and passing the same to the offshore team.
Code configuration management.

• Synergy is an Enterprise Resource Planning System that caters to M-Net’s planning and execution of day-to-day business. Developed and enhanced the Finance module in the ERP that managed the company's monthly reconciliation, payments, liabilities, commitments, realised/unrealised gain/loss, etc.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Designed, developed, tested, and debugged software solutions following industry standards and best practices, with full ownership of product deliveries.
• Led sprint outcomes and mentored junior team members while collaborating with cross-functional development teams on project planning, estimation, and prioritisation.
• Gathered and analysed client requirements, communicated with client managers and offshore teams, and identified projects aligned with the corporate business strategy.
• Drove the development of client enhancement requests, managed code configuration, conducted unit testing, and deployed modules to production servers.
• Performed comprehensive software analysis, module testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
