Tasks and accountabilities

• EOD-BOD: In the banking platform, EOD-BOD is one of the crucial and critical activities. So, I have been playing an important role in performing such activities. Played a crucial role in ensuring that these activities are carried out smoothly, without any delays or failures in banking operations. I have also been an active participant in major phases, like month-end, quarter-end, and year-end activities.
• Promotion/deployments: Being part of the production team, I have promoted and deployed new code-level changes into the production environment. This also includes creating new tables, or modifying them, in the database.
• Requests on the go: Monitoring production servers, as well as disaster recovery (DR) servers. Also played a big role in serving adhoc requests by the client for smoother operations, which include shell scripting to generate and send reports on a daily basis to the branches, NBO, and SSB's.
• Oracle GL: Oracle General Ledger is the application for the generation and formatting of financial reports. It is a widely used tool for managing currency exchange rates, too.
• TCS BaNCS: It's a widely preferred banking software suite developed by Tata Consultancy Services for retail banks. It is developed in Java and hosted on a cross-platform. It features core banking solutions, mobile banking, internet banking, treasury solutions, FOREX, and many banking solutions widely used in retail banking.
• Treasury EOD: Treasury in BFSI is again an important aspect, we deal with its backend for EOD-BOD activities on a daily basis.
• Control-M: Control-M provides a single, unified interface to schedule, monitor, and manage all EOD jobs and workflows across different applications and platforms. EOD processes often involve multiple interconnected tasks, such as data extraction, transformation, loading, report generation, and system backups.
• Distribution: Distribution mainly includes changes in codes in the frontend, which are to be distributed branch-wise from the backend server.
• Disaster Recovery Drill: I have actively participated in the DR drill activity as scheduled by the client. Familiar with the ITIL framework, tools, and services.
