A46 Walsgrave Junction: The A46 Coventry Junctions (Walsgrave) project is a road improvement scheme by National Highways aimed at easing congestion and reducing queuing on the A46 corridor, specifically near Walsgrave, east of Coventry.
COWI UK Limited is involved as part of a design team, alongside SWECO UK Limited, to develop the detailed design for the project, which includes a flyover and a reconfigured roundabout. The project is part of a larger A46 improvement plan connecting the M6 and M69 to the M40

VÄG 86: Detail design of Road86 involving tasks such as terrain modelling, geometric design, corridor modelling, quantity estimate, existing road area marking, final drawings creation, etc.
Role: Involved in corridor modelling using Autodesk Civil3D Conditional subassemblies & NAVIATE Settings subassembly to control the abrupt changes in road parameters.
RV62: Detail design project involving upgradation of Road62 having 1+1 road configuration to 2+1 configuration along with overlay/milling design, vertical profile correction, junction improvement etc.
Role: Involved in vertical profile correction, overlay/ milling design using using Autodesk Civil 3D Conditional subassemblies, corridor modelling, quantity calculation & superelevation design.
Ostlanken (OLP1): Design of multiple service roads along railway alignment to connect the railway platforms with each other, to private roads & other nearby major roads.
Role: Managed & involved in 2D design using AutoCAD Civil 3D, vehicle tracking using Autodesk vehicle tracking, horizontal alignment, vertical profile, template design, corridor modelling, widening, junction design, drainage design using Bentley Power Inroads.
Gunsta: Street design for Gunsta Residential Area involving cut/fill quantity calculation along with superstructure quantities to assist the client in estimation.
Role: Managed & involved in tracing the existing alignment, vertical profiles & corridor modelling for streets as per the data provided by the client. Also, developing the normal sections as per client's request & production of final drawings along with calculation of quantities.

Tomtebogård: Geometric design of streets for Umeå Residential Area along with Junction design.
Role: Involved in horizontal & vertical alignment design using Autodesk Civil 3D, complex subassemblies design using Autodesk Subassembly Composer, corridor modelling, junction design, quantity calculation, elevation plan creation, etc.
Vaittila: Creation of surfaces for various layers of pavement using the 3D cross sections provided from Finland.
Role: Involved in tracing of 3D polylines & splines using the 3D cross sections provided from Finland to create corridor layer surfaces of various pavement layers on Autodesk Civil 3D. Also, checking the modelled surfaces in Navisworks to ensure that the surface is smooth & hump free.
ATK2020: Automatisk trafik kontrollera, a system for automatic speed monitoring using road safety cameras to reduce the average speed on most hazardous roads & hence decrease the number of fatalities.
Role: Involved in design, modelling, checking for land constraint, quantity calculation etc. of ATK platforms using Autodesk Civil 3D. Also, production of final drawings for delivery to Trafikverket, Sweden.
ERTMS: Correction of laser data received from Sweden & relocating the various features such as poles, cable wells, etc. to actual locations.
Role: Involved in correction of laser survey data by verifying it using terra solid & Bentley MicroStation & shifting them to their actual locations.
E 65: Feasibility project for upgradation of gravel road running parallel to E65 & proposal of a Grade separated structure on E65 to facilitate cross movement of traffic.
Role: Involved in Geometric design of roadway parallel to E65 with improvement in existing geometry (modification of horizontal & vertical geometry).
Proposal of various alignment options with improved geometry & also with proposal of underpass & flyover along with suitable profiles for the same. Design of acceleration & deceleration lanes to provide connection & keep free traffic flow at crossing with E65.
2D design of junctions of cross roads with acceleration & deceleration lanes.
