• Successfully led and executed the very first 765kV Transformer's order valued 700'0minr from Powergrid Corporation of India Limited in the year 2013-2014. The project was one of the prime project at Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh which helped to integrate the southern India grid with rest of India. The package included supply of 7nos. 500MVA, 765kV Transformers, constructing complete civil works at site for the transformers and for the auxiliary equipment's and supply of complete auxiliary equipment's for grid connection.
• The scope of civil works and supply of auxiliary equipment's for above project was a first-time experience for Siemens Transformers. Complete strategy on scheduling, sourcing & negotiating for supplies from various service providers, manufacturers and contractors were independently handled, and the entire scope was executed with cost saving of more than 50'0 minr. This improved overall EBIT of project by 4-5%. The cost improvement and the project experience helped the acquisition team to win another 4 similar contracts from the customer.
• Based on the experience gained in the project, got appointed to lead another 4 similar projects in the upcoming years valued at 2800'0minr.
• Trained 2 peers to execute similar kind of projects during execution.
• As a step towards digitalization, nominated as lead project manager for developing and implementing Project Management software tool customized for the transformer business for 6 global transformer factories of Siemens. The software was developed with help of Siemens software team in India.
• Led the first order for 14nos. of 40MVAr, 157kV Reactor's order valued 333'0minr from IPTO Greece. The project defined Siemens Transformer India entry into the new Greece market. IPTO technical requirements calls for one of the most stringent requirements for some of components like Bushings and Oil been used in the reactors. During execution, number of meetings were held with IPTO to convince customer to accept the Global technical-norms in comparison to their technical specifications for Oil and Bushings. Customer acceptance to our Siemens proposal helped to deliver the reactors at the record time of 10 months and profit improvement of around 2-3%.
• Currently handling 5 projects from TNB Malaysia for their various substation valued 550'0minr and project from Los Angeles, USA valued 200'0minr. This includes supply Of first ever Variable Shunt Reactors to the southeast Asia region. Due to the pandemic, deliveries and cost of all major commodities has been impacted and thus caused delays to the project. Various customer discussions helped to avoid over 30'0minr penalty due to delays in supplies.
