• Inventory (raw material) management, vetting of vessels (technical review of suitability of vessel for port), planning of vessel berthing by calculating demurrage of vessel, manpower arrangement for routine and project work, preparation of day-to-day planning, and coordination with service departments.
• Gained knowledge of Decommissioning of storage tank.
• Identifying training needs, and imparting training for team members.

A) Process safety coordinator functions-

• Carrying out Safety walks, Job list preparations, planning & execution of jobs & follow up with service departments.
• Planning & execution of plant Mock drills, Ship shore joint mock drills. Reporting & closing of unsafe conditions, near miss. Reporting incident/accident reports and following up with the investigation team, and the implementation of recommendations.
• Internal & external safety audit observation compliance.
• Imparting trainings & tool Box Talks to contractor personnel. Carrying out spot audits, closing deviations in PTW system.
• Certified internal safety auditor.

B) IMS Coordinator-

• Maintaining department IMS documentation.
• Internal & external IMS audit observation compliance.
• Preparation of plan, execution for achieving departmental IMS objectives & targets. Monitoring the progress of objectives and targets.
• Identifying improvement programs, its planning & execution.
• Preparation of MOCs (management of change), planning & implementation.
• Maintaining Process safety management documentation & implementation.
• Planning of table top exercises for Emergency preparedness Plan.
• Member of suggestion evaluation committee. Implementation of suggestions given by team members.
• Carrying out JSAs, HAZOP, HIRA, ANI, and confirming the participation of worker representatives.

C) Day Coordinator -

• Communication with pilots to finalize vessel berthing & deberthing planning.
• Looking after (OSCP) oil spill response equipment trials, training and drills.
• Looking after daily activities like unloading, storage, and transfer of chemicals.
• Shift schedule preparation & manpower planning.
• Preparation of monthly reports, departmental review meeting - MOM.
• Conducting housekeeping walks, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance.
• Compliance of Port Facility audits -NSPC, ISPS, OSCP, PRF.
