  • Final Quality Assurance: Also known as ‘Quality Assurance', the Final Quality Inspector is responsible for allowing the finished jewellery piece to be shipped out to customer, after having checked quality parameters thoroughly.
  • Performance Criteria: Check PO for all details before checking pieces, such as a retailer name, color, kt, weight required, diamond weight, no of stones, setting type, stamping, ring size etc.
  • Check for special instruction if any like satin, antique, enamel, rhodium, chain, lock, tolerance etc. this need to be checked against PO only.
  • Compare design picture on PO and physical. It should be same.
  • Get master sample for the same design for past details.
  • Check gold weight from PO. It should match Po weight variance of only +/-5% is allowed, pieces lower than -5% should be rejected and over +5% should be reported & corrections accordingly.
  • Check shape and ring size as per PO. Different for different retailers, we only have tolerance of ¼+/- in it.
  • For bracelet check straightness, flexibility and length as per PO.
  • For earrings check left & right pair matching.
  • Check shank thickness and width.
  • For bracelet check linking & for earrings check post/wire thickness & length as per customer requirement.
  • Check for diamond broken, clarity, mismatch, color, size, burnt, metal reflection, diamond weight with PO and master sample.
  • Check for setting quality like leveling, tilted, prong cupping, height, chilai, secured nicks, over lapping, uneven spacing, etc.
  • Check for stamping instruction as per PO. It should be clearly visible with naked eyes.
  • Check for surface finishing first on outer surface for polish, porosity, pinholes, dents, tool marks, scratches, dust, crisp lapping, etc.
  • Check finishing on inside surface/inner areas for polish, finger rest, dust and clean galleries.
  • Check for loose diamonds under microscopic vision. Pieces repaired for loose diamonds should be considered as fresh pieces.
  • Check finding details like chain make, weight, color, kt, stamp etc.
  • Check for tagging details. SKU details should be matched on PO and pc. Tag needs to be matched in corners to prevent glue to come on pieces.
  • Check for batch quantity to be shipped against PO for quantity and tags at time of export.
