Project 1 : NAINA (Navi Mumbai International Notified Area)
This project is a large scale project and this is a prime focus of my work. NAINA occupies land within a 25-kilometer radius of the airport covering area of around 500sqkm. I have been working profoundly on this project from analysis to GFC construction phase. Major works involves :
- Estimated land use requirements based on population projections and forecasted land distribution to accommodate future growth in the NAINA development area.
- Conducted transport analysis, including estimating trips per household, calculating PCU factors, and assessing traffic volumes to enhance transportation planning.
- Analyzed and calculated transport modes and road hierarchy to optimize transportation infrastructure within the developed regions of NAINA.
- Collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project alignment with community needs.
- Reviewed drawing lists and managed projects involving utility services, including stormwater drainage (SWD), sewerage, potable water, and treated water supply networks.
- Analyzed demographic data to inform strategic planning initiatives and policy recommendations.
- Assist in transport network designs through detailed reviews of road hierarchy, road sections, minor and major sections, intersections, and junctions.
- Developed presentations to demonstrate planning initiatives and research.
- Spatial Analysis, existing environmental factors, updated and corrected building plans, blueprints and drawing using QGIS.
- Conducted site assessments to evaluate zoning compliance and environmental impact.
- Developed and presented comprehensive urban development plans to stakeholders.
Project 2: L&T Shedung, Panvel : Upcoming Residential Cum Commercial project covering 35-acres of land.
- Conducted population and land use distribution calculations to support integrated township planning, including assessments for the UDCPR and TPS schemes in the Shedung LT project.
- Evaluated and compared planning instruments under Maharashtra’s framework i.e Local Area Plan (LAP), Town Planning Scheme (TPS), and Development Plan (DP) to assess land value optimization, development potential, and profitability outcomes for developers.
Project 3 : Vikram Udyogpuri Ujjain Industrial Park: A key node in the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC), implemented by National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC), with projected employment generation of 1 lakh.
- Structured land use distribution and industrial zoning across MSMEs to large-scale industries, ensuring functional efficiency, scalability, and cluster-based development.
- Conducted demographic projections and employment density modelling to understand utilities demands starting from water to solid waste management.
- Designed hierarchical road network and logistics infrastructure, integrating site-level planning with regional transport systems.
- Currently working on the GFC stages for construction phase.
Project 4: Cotton Green Redevelopment, Mumbai : Contributed to bid-stage urban planning and proposal development for the Cotton Green Redevelopment (CGO Complex) led by NBCC (India) Limited and Mumbai Port Authority, focusing on land use strategy, FSI utilization, and redevelopment potential.
Project 5: Naveen Nagpur International Business and Finance center, Nagpur: 1,710 acres, a flagship smart city initiative by Nagpur Metropolitan Region Development Authority and NBCC (India) Limited.
- Conducted comprehensive site analysis and development feasibility studies for Naveen Nagpur IBFC, including projected population, employment generation potential, and economic positioning to establish it as a regional corporate hub.
- Applied nucleus-based urban planning approach, integrating mobility and circulation networks, while working towards incorporation of Form-Based Codes (FBC) within the local planning framework to guide built form and urban character.
