First row transition metal catalyzed olefination of Sulfones — M.Sc project Completed under Dr. Satyadeep Waiba, J.U
Synthesized Vinyl sulfones catalyzed by Iron complex in presence of base. Vinyl sulfones are extremely useful in medicinal chemistry such as they act as fluorogenic probes for selective labeling of live cells, as inhibitors to Cysteine protease, SRTA and also as anti trypanosomal agents and neuroprotective agents in Parkinson’s therapy.
