  • My responsibilities here are to ensure the accounting in the books of the bank for all kinds of debt and investment instruments held by the bank is done as per US GAAP, IFRS, FAS, and SEC/Reg requirements.
  • Monthly and quarterly reconciliation of subledger and general ledger. Also, posting adjustment entries in books as per the reconciliations.
  • Testing and Reporting of Hedge termination on every kind of Debt and Investment instruments for Internal and Regulatory Bodies.
  • Mid-month and month-end interest payable/receivable testing, whether interest is calculated by the system as per the respective terms and conditions. And whether such payments have been made/received as per the expectations.
  • Audit of invoices issued by respective brokers for deal finalization, whether proper payments have been made or invoices are as per the deal and agreement. Whether accounting has been done properly.
  • Regular reporting of account balances with analysis like Yield, ratios, MoM changes etc of debt and investment funds to the management for further strategic decisions regarding issuances, investment, and maturity and paydowns etc.
