ship's navigator. Maintaining a proper watch along with the general surveillance of the ship. Responsible for safe and smooth navigation of the ship.
• Prepared drill and training planners as per company's SMS along
with Master and conducted Emergency Response Drills and training
exercises as per planner.
• Calculated sightings of Celestial Objects & land by using Sextant
by various methods to ascertain vessel's position. Contains broad
celestial knowledge.
• Developed and modified LSA and FFA safety plans as per
requirements and trained newly joined crew members to meet
rigorous safety expectations and carried out thorough safety and
security familiarization upon joining. Also conducted SHELL safety
trainings such as Resilience, Learning Engagement Tool & Reflective

• Utilized navigation expertise and tools to set courses and determine
ship position throughout ocean passages.
• Carried out thorough inspections, launching & lowering of lifeboats as per SOLAS requirements. Performed maintenance of Lifeboats, Life rafts and Rescue boat including their inventories and maintenance of their davits. Performed scheduled tests, maintenance as well as ensuring the proper log-keeping on the ship's Global Maritime Distress Safety System equipment. Safety equipment includes EPIRB, a NAVTEX unit, INMARSAT consoles, various radios, Search and Rescue Transponders, and Digital Selective Calling systems.
• Appointed as Designated Distress Communication Officer (DDCO)
throughout my experience as Third mate.
• Assessed all meteorological aspects, acquired weather reports through Sat-C, NAVTEX, Weather fax and other weather routing licensed software.
• Lead the Mooring station diligently in harbors and anchorages.

dealings such as Customs, immigration and local agents of various

Maintenance System.

operations, STS operation, cargo valves overhauling, Framo pump, cargo pump seals overhauling etc.

change tank cleaning of various Chemicals.
• Managed quality assurance program, including Vetting
inspections, Internal and External audits, Class surveys and Port state
control inspection.
