- Responsible for overseeing all strategic procurement and quality operations for business unit that produces details and assemblies for customers' defense and aerospace applications.
- Responsible for structuring and framing Standard Operating Procedure for onboarding direct material suppliers as well as carrying out their Quality Audits periodically.
- Monitoring and conducting supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards and specifications
- To uphold safety and reliability of aerospace components, and ensure regulatory compliance with ISO9001,AS9100, IS0 14001 and customer-specific requirements.
- Establishing and maintaining business relationships with Suppliers and ensuring that negotiated agreements are implemented and aggressively pursuing competitive purchase environment by constantly seeking alternate supply,product replacement, and substitution.
- Conducting supplier negotiations (RFQs & RFIs), statement comparisons, and obtaining agreement signatures, while also catering to implementing smooth Supplier onboarding with robust Supplier assessment and approval tools.
- Creating demand forecast for Suppliers and making supply plan for them in order to maintain subsequent inventory to avoid shortages and overstocking.
- Supporting production schedules by analyzing available capacities and constraints to ensure 100% On-Time Delivery (OTD) to Customer for all product lines.
- Tracking supplier performance and co-managing Vendor relationships, including adherence to contract service levels, investigation/resolution of payment disputes, extensions, optimization, and timely notifying internal stakeholders & customers in case of any forecasted risks.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams including Operations, Engineering, Finance & Supply Chain to maximize product manufacturability and increase profitability by translating key commercial initiatives and executing strategies for business growth and new product introductions
