  • Evaluation of State Projects for the development of area and welfare of Scheduled Tribes and providing financial support (grant) under proviso to Article 275 of the Constitution of India and Special Central Assistance to Tribal Sub-Plan, 2007, New Delhi, Scheduled Tribes, Projects were meant to bring development of tribal area at par with that of rest of area of the State and to ensure welfare of Scheduled Tribes.

Rules needed to regulate such activities by interalia making provisions to ensure adherence to provisions of Environment (Protection) Act 1986 and Forest (Conservation) Act 1980.
