1.Laboratory Operations:-

• A custodian of the laboratory for the scheduling, planning, and timely delivery of the test
  report.
• Understand the new R&D product concepts and define the validation plan by considering the complexity, referring to the DFMEA and failure modes to be assessed.
• Timely planning of the calibration and maintenance of test equipment and a preventive maintenance plan in place to avoid downtimes.
• Define the validation tests that can qualify the new products and develop customized test equipment and fixtures to test and qualify the products.
• The technical front for the discussions with suppliers related to the equipment's or tool’s development in coordination with the purchase team.
• Identify and coordinate with external labs for specific tests and be on the coordination front
  until the receipt of the test report.

2. Organizational:-

• Evaluation of investments for test execution and defining the test cost and quotation for the requestors.
• Help manager in budget forecasts related to capital investments as well as operational expenses within the boundaries of laboratory expenses.
• Co-ordinate with different departments like purchase, logistics, and accounts for import and export, fixture development, and new vendor developments.

3.Product Development:-

• Understand the new products that are under development and get involved in the discussions for optimization or improvement during the development stage.
• Identify the different failure modes or critical failure aspects during the execution of the test and recommend to the development team improvements or optimizations to the product.
