Project: Switch Control

Client : AT&T

Switch Control is AT&T specific customized application which handle the transaction processing. It is an intermediate application which carries the transaction from the Telegence billing market side to Switch Control where it splits,formats and sends transactions to the proper network device. All the wireless mobility Voice and Data subscriber's activation, deactivation, modification/ change in services,SIM changes,IMEI changes etc flow through Switch Control to get various network elements. Any activity performed in Telegence in subscriber account like adding/updating/removing any feature etc, once saved, a transaction is generated and sent to switch control to update the respective network elements.

Responsibility

  • Work as shift lead and actively responsible for the routine activities.
  • Work on ITIL concepts (like Incident management, Change management, Problem management).
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and triage complex production software/application/service issues.
  • Upgrading and deploying latest functionalities in case of any enhancement or core releases.
  • Writing shell scripts to reduce monitoring gaps and human efforts to economize time/money for the completion of assigned task.
  • Understand and take responsibilities for all operational workflows and standard operating procedures, down to a granular, detailed level.
  • Utility/tools development to improve task processes.
  • Responsible for end-to-end deployment, raising change request, deploying, the code in production and resolving any issue post deployment.
  • Within own area of knowledge, responsible to follow agreed procedures to investigate issues and other requests to determine appropriate actions.
  • Interact with the testing team and development team.
  • Conducting quality check and identifying the major errors and performing root cause analysis to know the root causes of the problem.
  • Ensures all work is carried out and documented in accordance with required standards, methods and procedures.
  • Involved in working of tickets ranging from simple to critical to help resolve customer impact and customer issue.
  • Awarded “Pat On The Back” for good performance.
  • Received “AQT Ninja” for Automation.
