Project: High Cloud Airlines data analysis

Project description

Worked on real-world airline operational data to derive business insights, and build KPI dashboards

Responsibilities:

  • Created a comprehensive date column using year, month, day, derived month name, quarter, financial month and quarter, weekday, etc
  • Used Excel VLOOKUP and SQL joins to connect dimension and fact tables
  • Calculated load factor % by year, quarter, month, and carrier (transported passengers / available seats)
  • Identified the top 10 carriers by passenger preference and top routes (from-to cities) based on flight frequency
  • Segmented weekday vs. weekend load factor and analyzed flights by distance group
  • Built interactive dashboards in Power BI and Tableau
  • KPI dashboard (carrier performance, route analysis, load factor trends)
