  • Project Description: The purpose of the project is to provide dependable all-weather coastal access to the rugged Musandam Peninsula. The Project commences near Al Khalidiya, at kilometre 20+100. It follows an alignment near the eastern coastline of the peninsula, passing near the town of Lima at approximately kilometre 32, and ends at approximately kilometre 75 near the town of Daba, Project Estimated Cost – 500 Million OMR. Project comprises a total length of 55 km, 10 tunnels (19.7 km total length, longest 4.7 km), 12 bridges (2.7 km total, longest 400 m)

The remaining length for the proposed project is approximately 400 Km and it is divided into Parts 3, 4 & 5, which is to be constructed as new two-lane road adjacent to the existing road. The new road together with the old road forms the 4-lane dual carriageway.
