As the Road Safety Officer at National Highways Authority of India, I am responsible for the coordination of road safety initiatives and projects. I actively participate in various meetings with stakeholder departments and committees to discuss road safety issues and propose effective measures for commuter safety. Following are few of my key roles:

• Core member of the District Road Safety Committee meetings chaired by the Deputy Commissioners/District Collectors, core member of the State Road Safety Committee meetings chaired by the Transport Minister, and other Road Safety meetings chaired by the Hon'ble CM/DGP/Chief Secretary, Assam.
• Currently, deputed as the State Nodal Officer for Road Safety in the O/o The Lead Agency, Commissionerate of Transport, Assam from NHAI.
• Conducted various road safety audits in co-ordination with MoRTH appointed road safety consultants and also engaged the state stakeholder departments like Police, MVI, Transport, NHIDCL, PWD(NH), PWD(R), District Administration etc. for better coordination.
• Supervising and managing contractors for the maintenance of 4-lane National Highway-27 stretch under RO-Guwahati, including necessary inspections and surveys, totalling a length of around 635 kms.
• Actively involved in the construction of a 6-lane National Highway from Jalukbari to Khanapara on NH-37 in Assam with 6-lane flyovers and VUPs.
• Currently engaged in looking after the DPR and other related works like surveying, land acquisition, co-ordination meetings with the District/State administration etc. of a 4-lane Green Field Ring Road project which will de-congest the huge traffic congestion from Guwahati city. The construction of this another glorified project is expected to start in the next 5 months.
• Supervised and managed the work for long-term measures at blackspot locations, involving construction and maintenance of projects to improve safety.
• Also managing and supervising the tolling operations of toll plazas in the state of Assam.

• Worked as a Project Engineer at Simplex Infrastructure Limited, where I was involved in the construction and management of infrastructure projects. I utilized my skills in project management, field investigation, and analytical thinking to contribute to the successful execution of projects.
• Supervised the construction of infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Participated in the development of project plans, including surveys, land acquisition, and coordination meetings with the District/State administration.
• Contributed to the technical and administrative aspects of the construction projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and quality standards.
