• Worked On creating Cloud AWS Infrastructure using Terraform in Middleware Team.
• Replication of database(Apr 2019 to present):-
  

1. Using confluent Kafka, we are consuming binary messages of various databases from one topic(AvroConsumer) and parsing and publishing into another topic(AvroProducer) using python language.

• Switch (From Oct 2018 to Current):

1. Avis provides interface with all four major GDS (Global Distribution Systems) to provide direct access to its reservation system.

2. GDS partners are Galileo International, Sabre, World span and Amadeus. Request and Responses from and to GDS channels are formatted and converted to mainframe GUI format via switch in mainframe written in assembly language.

3. In this project we are converting assembly code to Golang with AWS as infrastructure, Couchbase as database, various DevOps tools for different phases like Git, Docker, Jenkins for integrations and Linux as a working environment.

4. Replicating the database into cloud using python as language and confluent kafka.

• Rate Shop Cloud Migration (From Feb 2018 to Oct 2018) :
  

1. As Avis is a Car rental company, it has three different phases : Rate Shop, Reservation, Rental. Rate shop is the huge part among all phases.

2. In this project , performance has improved by moving whole Rate shop to AWS Cloud.

3. Has written various application IO modules(IMS , DB2) in Golang for fetching, inserting, updating data from and to Couchbase using Linux as working environment.

4. Has used Amazon Web Services as infrastructure like EC2, S3 Bucket, ECS, ELB, Cloud Watch etc. for Cloud, Integrations and for monitoring purposes.

5. Has experience on working with Couch Database for data modelling using JSON Format , Indexing, Querying as an administrator to improve the performance of transactions from seconds to milliseconds.

6. Has experience on working with Jenkins for integrating various jobs for different purposes.

7. Has experience in replicating huge amount of data from mainframe to Couch Buckets using Kafka and CDC.

8. Worked upon different Application and Couchbase issues in production.

9. Has written and deployed various shell scripts in production for Couchbase so as to easily get alert in case of any error occurring in DB and thus reducing manual effort for monitoring team.

• Database Migration ( From Dec 2017 to Jan 2018) :

1. Has solved various critical issues in production where IMS database was migrated to DB2 database in mainframe.

2. Has knowledge of COBOL, Assembly, IMS and DB2.

• Wizard Modernization ( From Dec 2016 to Nov 2017):

1. Avis whole code and modules was written in assembly language and COBOL.

2. In this project, worked as developer converting whole code to C language.

3. Has worked with team to improve the efficiency of code.

4. Conversion to C has removed the dependency over mainframe.
