WORK AREA: UPPER ZAKUM ARTIFITIAL ISLAND UZ 750 DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS & COMMISSIONING

SCOPE: Production,Separation,compression,water treatment and disposal,water injection and power generation and non process facilities on the island such as Accommodation,warehouse,offices,workshops, Helipads & general services. Subsea Pipeline & cables in UZ felid connecting Island and existing facilities brownfield projects at UZ-Central complex and satellite platforms.

JOB RESPONSIBLITIES

PTW-PERMIT TO WORK -Regularly review the Permit to Work (PTW) system to ensure it aligns with safety regulations and internal policies. Worked with external agencies to uphold industry best practices during routine inspections.

RISK ASSESMENT- Identified hazards, assessed risks, and implemented safety measures. Ensured compliance, conducted assessments, and updated safety strategies to protect workers.

INCIDENT REPORTING & INVESTIGATIONS–Documented incidents, analyzed root causes, ensured compliance, implemented solutions, communicated findings, improved safety protocols, and verified corrective actions.

LIFTING ACTIVITIES-Inspected lifting equipment, ensured load security, trained workers, supervised operations, and analyzed incidents to prevent recurrence.

CONFNED SPACE ACTIVITY- Assessed hazards, enforced permits, monitored atmospheric risks, trained workers, and ensured regulatory compliance for confined space safety.

EXCAVATION -Conducted risk assessments, verified permits, ensured soil stability, inspected equipment, and established emergency protocols.

• Lead HSE walk downs with clients, report any findings, and address noncompliance reports.
• Assisted in the design and installation of fire detection and suppression systems, improving overall facility protection.
• Represent the company during the commissioning of oil wells, fire, and safety systems.
• Implement the HSE training plans and site induction programs.
• Monitor critical activities such as confined space entry, critical lifting, and operations involving naked flames.
• Conduct risk assessments, job safety analysis, and aid in the development of safe work procedures.
• Collaborate with the drilling team for safe well shutdowns and depressurization during critical operations.
• Oversee the monitoring and inspection of construction activities in operational areas.
• Conduct training on the use of firefighting and emergency equipment for operators and field personnel.
• Review fire and safety diagrams prior to equipment commissioning.
• Conduct acceptance tests on fire and safety equipment per NFPA standards.
• Ensure all personnel are equipped with appropriate PPEs.
• Attending and fire and gas leak Situations.
• Lead regular firefighting and emergency response drills.
• Act as TRT team LEAD during emergency situations.
• Supervise and delegating tasks to fire and safety team.
• Maintain, operate, and train personnel on all types of portable and fixed firefighting systems and life-saving appliances.
• Document the use and maintenance of firefighting and life-saving appliances.

• Provided expert guidance during construction or renovation projects, ensuring adherence to established building codes concerning fire protection requirements.
• Enhanced fire safety awareness by conducting regular training sessions and workshops for employees.

• Maintenance and repair of emergency eye wash and showers.
• Carrying out routine trainings On FIRE FIGHTING AND LIFE SAVING for various departments onboard.
• Maintenance of firefighter equipment's, chemical PPE's, stretchers etc….

• Maintenance of gas detection system (wireless and fixed gas detection systems).
• Breathing Air cascade system installation and the maintenance of breathing air compressors. (Diesel and electrical).
• Calibration of different gas detectors.
• Annual and biannual inspection and certifications of portable and non-portable fire extinguishers, SCBA, EEBD.
• Annual, biannual, 5yearly and 10 yearly maintenance of fixed firefighting systems like Co2 system, dry powder system, foam system, sprinkler system, wet chemical system FM200 system, Halon system, Novec1230 system etc..

• Operation and maintenance of lathe, milling, shaping and different types of grinders.
• Learned new materials, processes, and programs quickly.
