10.2021 - 04.2025
  • Led the Change Management module enhancements for PIER, an enterprise in-house ITSM platform used by T-Mobile technicians and service partners to manage change requests, incidents, and operational service workflows. The platform was built on a microservices and micro-frontend architecture , and I was responsible for enhancing the change lifecycle workflows using Camunda BPM , including request validation, risk assessment, multi-stage approvals, and governance. Worked across backend services implemented with Spring Boot , Vue.js micro-frontends , and a Golang microservice handling write operations with MySQL , while Node.js services supported read-heavy operations and search APIs . Implemented Kafka-based asynchronous processing for bulk updates and workflow events , with Elasticsearch enabling search capabilities and MongoDB used for persisting dynamic questionnaire data . The application was deployed on Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) and exposed APIs to external consumers through Apigee API Gateway . During the platform decommissioning and migration to ServiceNow , implemented dual-write synchronization to keep both systems consistent during the transition phase.

Architect / Technical Consultant

Client: Experain | Employer: UST Global
02.2019 - 04.2021
  • Credit Lending Application for Close Brothers using Power curve Originations, an inhouse product. The project requires integration with external 3rd party APIs and Close Brothers APIs with the screens developed in Power curve. Power curve provides options to incorporate java scripts into the screens. I had proposed and implemented a suite of microservices to integrate with 3rd party APIs. The microservices were invoked from the screens via ajax using JavaScript. To have a seamless end-user experience, the authentication tokens from power curve sessions were shared with the microservices and authenticated against open AM.
  • The solution includes Spring boot, Spring security, Mutual TLS, OAuth, REST services, REST and SOAP clients, Open AM and CORS
  • Responsibilities:
  • Proposed a high-level technical solution to integrate the credit application product with external APIs using a microservice based solution and implemented a POC.
  • Analyze requirements with BA's and UX Designer.
  • Prepared low-level design for features
  • Created technical stories in Jira
  • Integrated the microservices with Open AM, the IDP used by credit application product for authentication
  • Designed and implemented RESTFul microservices
  • Integrated the microservices with 3rd party systems exposed as REST / SOAP interfaces by creating REST/SOAP clients using Spring REST Template / Webservice Template.
  • Implemented mutual TLS and OAuth
  • Implemented connection pooling of clients, timeout and error handling of services
  • Implemented CORS between the product and the microservices.
  • Integrated the credit application product with microservice using JavaScript based client

  • Contributed to a broader Always-On transformation program targeting 99.99% availability of the customer-facing platform. Applied domain modelling to identify read-heavy, loosely coupled capabilities within the monolith and incrementally extracted them into cloud-hosted microservices using the Strangler Pattern. The approach enabled progressive modernization, improved scalability, and better fault isolation, while minimizing risk by allowing legacy and modernized components to coexist during the transition.

  • A series of projects necessitated as part of integration of Halifax and BOS with Lloyds Bank. As part of the integration of the three banks, there were several initiatives taken. The initial state was to uplift applications running in older WebSphere /MQ versions to latest stack. A high-level decision for integration was to use the single codebase for Retail branch application across the brands. Based on the nature of the application and expected volume, it was decided for some applications there will be a separate instance per brand while for some applications all brands share a common instance.
