• Responsible for materials planning & scheduling, establishment and managing projects having minimum inventory of construction, consumables materials and engineering items.
• Fully responsible for analyzing, forecasting & procurement of Construction materials, Lubricants, Plant maintenance spares & consumables, through requisitions and requirements program, selection of suppliers, obtaining quotations and evaluating them.
• Fully responsible for Inventory control, inspection of materials, storage & preservation, wastage elimination and provide leadership to the department to achieve their goals and objectives.
• Responsible for reconciliation of materials, establishing the computerized accounting and reporting system, preparation of data for MIS reports, interaction with auditors and timely feedback to the management.
• Responsible for Co-ordinating with planning, production, finance dept. & HO and formulating Stores planning & budgeting, Projection, and implementation plan for uninterrupted production.
• Set up the Standard Operating Procedures for Kitting and dispatching items wherever applicable.
• Liaise with suppliers and transport/logistics companies.
• Control on Scrap / Waste generation. Periodic assessment on accumulation and disposal of Scrap and initiate actions on time.
• Review of Physical verification reports (cycle counting) on continuous basis.
