Besides managing high-visibility international projects, he has maintained complex stakeholder relations, and sensitive crisis situations, most importantly, in Maldives and India. He has gained valuable experience by working closely with ministries and embassies abroad.
Bivabasu is a passionate story teller and specialises in building trust and credibility to make visibility stick irrespective of the geography.
I manage highly complex political and social communication challenges surrounding India's, or, by far, the world's largest urban renewal project: the Dharavi Redevelopment Project.
My role involves steering regional, national, and international media narratives to ensure balanced and fact-based coverage. This is not only important for the project, but also for the government and the Adani Group.
What I enjoy most, however, is the opportunity to work at the grassroots level and interacting with the slum dwellers directly which allows me to use communication as a tool to bridge any gap and insulate them from misinformation.
As part of strategic communications, I craft narratives to debunk myths and false narratives used by detractors to confuse residents, and create unrest.
Crisis communications is not a one-off task for me, but it is a constant and structured part of my strategic communication approach.
