Brajesh Kumar is a Senior Research Scholar in Marketing at ICFAI Business School, Hyderabad, India. His research primarily focuses on sustainability, tourism marketing, eco-friendly behavior, community-based tourism, rural tourism, and agritourism. He has made significant contributions to academic discourse in these areas, aiming to bridge the gap between tourism practices and sustainable development, with a particular emphasis on rural settings. Before embarking on his academic journey, Brajesh gained five years of corporate experience in the tourism sector with ITC. This role allowed him to develop a deep understanding of the industry's dynamics, which he now integrates into his research to combine practical insights with academic theory. Brajesh has actively engaged with the international academic community, presenting his research on tourism and sustainability at two prestigious international conferences held at IBS Hyderabad and IBS Kolkata. These experiences have further enriched his academic pursuits and established him as a respected contributor in his field. Recently, Brajesh successfully submitted his PhD thesis and is currently awaiting his final thesis defense. His unique combination of corporate experience and academic expertise makes him a valuable asset to the fields of marketing and sustainable tourism.
