C Niranjana

Niranjana is a Manager (Junior Consultant) at HSBC, part of the Finance Solutions Group (FSG), that provides support for critical transformation programs, and maximizes value for Global Finance. As a qualified Chartered Accountant, I have gained valuable experience in data analysis, exception management, and management accounting, working with various stakeholders and systems across regions.

Being a part of FSG, she has been a part of 3 assignments so far which are :-

(1) Financial Accounting (Canada) [1 Year] -

In her Canada Project, she got an opportunity to be a part of a team to support a region (Canada) during the time of its sell-off to Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), where she was exposed to various reconciliations, substantiations, journal postings, and analysis through various accounting tools like HUB, ISM, I Access Client Solutions, BMO, Cadency, Fusion, FTP, TLM, CA Finance Access, Smartview/Essbase, UK Plex, On Demand, GMG, and Euroclear. This assignment gave Niranjana great exposure to group systems, and this experience has broadened her knowledge, which she is able to take forward in her future endeavors for work. The task of reviewing multiple data sets was supported by her soft skills such as building rapport with peers, adopting a collaborative approach with others, and achieving the right outcome.

(2) Targeted Transaction Testing (TTT-HBUK, HBEU, and HBCU) [9 months] -

Within this assignment, she was responsible for several deliverables. These include the review of regulatory reports, framing attributes for testing, and sampling and testing of various line items. This assignment has been a good opportunity to utilize her skills in curating a summarized report following large testing reports, providing a clear status, and escalating updates to her local senior management following her contributions. During this time, Niranjana has taken the opportunity to suggest process improvements, too.

(3) Mimosa FinOps [Present] -

As part of this assignment, she is supporting the Internal, External, and Corporate Centre Team as part of the resegmentation undergone.

• Worked extensively in GST audit, refund, compliances & registration
• Prepared & filed Income Tax return for diverse clients
• Assembled, Analyzed & flied TDS/ TCS returns and GST returns
• Presented reports on new tax amendments and compliances

• Executed statutory audit and Tax audit of clients of diverse sectors
• Analyzed various approvals for certification by principal in charge
• Successfully trained and managed 7 article assistants to oversee the overall development for which detailed sessions were conducted
