Bid activities on spiral and plate heat exchangers:

• Reviewing bid documents, and preparing a compliance and deviation report for spiral and compabloc heat exchangers for EPC, refinery, and end-user customers in the North American and European markets.
• Preparing mechanical design for spiral and compabloc heat exchangers, considering the project requirements and in accordance with ASME and EN codes.
• Liaison with vendors and suppliers regarding prices of special materials, or better rates on the existing materials, for the ongoing projects.
• Preparing PSP for firm, high-value projects.
• Performed risk assessments prior to submitting each bid in order to minimize potential losses or liabilities.
• Developed detailed technical proposals for various bids ensuring accuracy of pricing, delivery terms and conditions.
• Prepared reports summarizing key metrics, such as a list of projects, win and loss ratios.
• Reviewed and analyzed customer requirements, project specifications and drawings.
• Communicated with clients and cross functional departments for the complex projects

• Technical support for pre-sales stage activities across North America, Latin America, and the Canada region sales teams, focusing on commercial and industrial applications for air-cooled chillers (Screw and Scroll) and water cooled heat pump.
• Customization of standard chiller solutions per customer’s requirement and application.
• A deep understanding of air-cooled chiller technologies, along with product expertise, allowed for the customization of solutions for major projects, demonstrating a comprehensive grasp of the techno-commercial aspects of their applications.
• Active engagement with sales teams, clients, and consultants during the pre-sales stage, ensuring a collaborative approach to project success.
• Collaborate with the portfolio, product management, engineering, and production teams for regular project discussions, per requirement.
• Proficient in in-house tools such as Dxchill and SelNav.
• Handled key customers in the data center vertical, such as META, Google, Equinix, Iron Mountain, etc.
• Create documentation for sales support, training, and customer products.
• Conducting training webinars for sales teams across the MEA, Asia, Africa, and EU regions.
• Benchmark and position the product with reference to competitive products.

• Understand the customer specifications and requirements, and assist the sales team in documenting the deviation and scope.
• Review technical order pages and purchase order specifications.
• Engage in engineering planning, design, review, and validation per project timeline.
• Execution of engineering design activities and packaging items like pressure vessels, heat exchangers, water pumps, piping and piping accessories, control and safety valves, base frame skids, couplings, structures, and supports, etc., based on good engineering practice and applicable international standards.
• Prepare project engineering documents, such as technical specifications, general arrangement drawings, equipment datasheets, etc.
• Issue the bill of materials, specifications, manufacturing drawings, testing procedures, special instructions, manuals, etc.
• Coordinate with the CAD, and plant design teams.
• Liaise with the client, supplier, and cross-functional teams.

Engineering Design (July 2017 – 2018)

• Design chiller components like heat exchangers, base frames, condenser coils, etc., and review the respective drawings.
• Create process and instrumentation diagrams.
• Manage project codes and bill of materials.
• Coordinate on prototype assembly and testing.

Sales and application engineering (role changed in 2018 - July 2019)

• Support sales with technical and commercial queries.
• Research market trends and build a user database for Southeast Asia, MEA, and the Africa market.
• Build relationships with key decision-makers.
• Prepare quotations for domestic and export inquiries.
• Participate in client meetings, both domestic and export inquiries.
