- Job Responsibilities
- Monitoring the boiler, turbine, and their auxiliary unit load operation, as well as unit hot start-up and cold start-up.
- Weekly trial and changeover of the boiler, turbine, and its auxiliaries, thereby ensuring the healthiness of all equipment.
- Handled many emergencies, such as station blackout, unit trip, boiler trip, turbine trip, and safe, smooth, and efficient operation during unit/equipment startup and shutdown, as well as trip and trouble analysis.
- Managing the overall permit system in collaboration with the field engineer for mechanical monitoring of the boiler and turbine running equipment.
- Weekly trial and changeover of turbine, boiler, and BOP area equipment.
- Handled emergencies like station blackout.
- Monitoring 6.6 kV, 132 kV C.K.T., battery bank, diesel generator set.
- Responsible for coordinating with SLDC for 132 kV switchyard operation and maintenance.
- Maintaining the daily generation and consumption report, and performing analysis on it.
- Handling of the overall permit system for the turbine, boiler, and BOP area in collaboration with the client and maintenance team.
- Ensuring safe and smooth running of BTG and BOP auxiliaries through proper communication with field engineers.
- Involved in unit startup, shutdown, equipment trial, and changeover activities with the client and field engineer.
- Handling of manpower resources, and critical documents for internal and external audit.
- Inspection supervision, local lineup, clearance, and permissive for startup and shutdown, and safe operation activities of the unit and auxiliaries of the turbine and boiler area.
- Monitoring from the field of boiler, turbine, and BOP area to ensure the healthy working of all equipment. Cold startup, hot startup, normal running unit operations, and boiler light-up activity.
