  • As a Technical support engineer for SAP Ariba Sourcing module my Task was to deal with daily Service now tickets which the customer raised when they faced any technical issues related to SAP Ariba application
  • When the ticket was raised and it got assigned to me, my first task was to go through the tickets detail and share an acknowledgment email to the customer confirming that it has been received and its being worked upon
  • I helped customer with their issues related to classic sourcing or Guided Sourcing (being newest module)
  • We received cases related to Template issue, PR created using ERP and sent to Ariba for PO but it got stuck, Code related issues, or some parameter/ feature is not enabled for customer, Issues related to Approval task, or customer only requires guided sourcing and not classic sourcing (as its currently being phased out by SAP Ariba), quotes not being sent to External system (ERP) etc
  • I used to visit the customer realm and look for the issue
  • If I am not able to find/understand the issue then arranging a Teams meeting invite and get on a call with customer to find their exact issue
  • If issue is reproducible then creating a similar scenario in our Local test realm and setting up the template rules as per the customer's one and trying to do the same thing as customer followed and finding the Root cause
  • Incase the issue can not be reproduced in our Local realm then Creating a Jira Ticket and assigning it our Solution architect team
  • They used to review and provide us the guidance
  • In some cases if the issue required Code fix then raising a Jira ticket and providing all the detail
  • Our engineering team then used provide the customer with code fix just like a software update
