Google Fiber is part of the Access division of Alphabet Inc. Google Fiber is a service by Google that allows for fast broadband connections and access to a wide array of digital media. Introduced in July 2012, Google Fiber accommodates broadband speeds of over gigabits compared to the average American broadband. Google Fiber has an expansion roadmap for Austin, Texas; Provo, Utah; Atlanta; Charlotte; Research Triangle; Nashville; Salt Lake City; and San Antonio.

These projects are involved in FTTH planning and designing using FROG, AutoCAD, and C-GIS. The responsibilities include handling the Drafting and Permit Team. In this project, we are connecting SFUs and MDUs, and the project work with GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Network) technology. We are providing services to commercial buildings. The scope of the project is planning and designing for the fiber optic network in the USA.

  • Project #1- Telstra FTTB MDU Planning & Design:
  • Client Process:
  • The process is about providing end-to-end design and drawing solutions to an Australian client for the NSW region for Telstra Networks. We were responsible for field survey and providing design inputs. Cyient will be involved in delivering the design of networks based on inputs as per Telstra standards. Network types would include FTTB, MDU, and designing.
  • Responsibility:
  • Study and analyze the inputs, like survey data received from the client. This includes verifying the EUP count (residential and commercial), raster images, field photos, customer house details, land base, area design specifications, field survey details, etc.
  • Planning, designing, building, configuring, and commissioning telecommunications devices, networks, and systems, such as satellite and digital data systems, and ensuring telecommunications systems (FTTB cabinet, MDFs, MSBs, Earth Link, NBN meter, CB, etc.). Interconnect with equipment from different manufacturers, service providers, and users

  • The process is about providing end-to-end design and drawing solutions to an Australian client for the NSW region for Telstra Networks.   • Identifying and analyzing problems and requirements of existing telecommunication network systems/features, such as amplifiers, splitters/couplers, and taps, etc. In manholes, to determine the most appropriate means of reducing, eliminating, and avoiding current and future problems, and to improve communications.
  • Pars/queries are raised in case of technical issues, following according to the client’s answers. Understand the project specifications, and process the data based on the specifications to fulfill customer requirements.
  • Project #3- CITY FIBER Planning & Design :( FTTH)
  • Client Process:
  • The process is about providing end-to-end design and drawing solutions to UK clients for fiber optic networks. We were responsible for field survey and providing design.
  • Responsibility:
  • Study and analyze the inputs, like demand point, customer premises, PN boundary, core network, and land base data received from the client.
  • Then planning, designing, building, configuring, and commissioning city fiber networks and devices, such as PN (Primary Node), SN (Secondary Node), ASN (Aerial Secondary Node), customer Toby, access, etc. As per City Fiber rules and guidelines, and with the help of Google Maps.
  • Pars/queries are raised in case of technical issues, following according to the client’s answers. Understand the project specifications, and process the data based on the specifications to fulfill customer requirements.

  • Description:
  • The aim of this project is to study the inputs, F dgn, C dgn, UGM sheet, D dgn and land base while using these sources, we have to convert the support structures along with fiber and copper plant in the FROGS (spatial Engineer).
