• : Synthesis & characterization of HAp & HAp/Tio2 Description : HAp powders were successfully prepared via sol-gel technique using calcium hydroxide and Diammonium phosphate as calcium and phosphate precursors. The straight and sharp peaks revealed that the HAp and HAp/Tio2 powders were nano crystalline in nature. Average crystalline size was calculated using scherer’s formula and it is found to be 11.75, 12.75 and 19.73nm for pure and 25wt% , 50wt% Tio2 doped HAp composite. The FTIR spectrum confirms the presence of OH-,PO4 and CO3 groups for the pure and Titanium oxide doped HAp samples respectively. The surface morphology of synthesized nano HAp and HAp/Tio2 was confirmed by SEM and it was observed that the particles are formed in globular shape. The EDX spectrum confirms the presence of calcium, phosphate and titanium doped. The corresponding Ca/P ratio is 1.6070 and 1.5316 for pure and titanium doped HAp samples, which is nearer to stoichiometric ratio of 1.67. Technical skill set
