DOCTORAL RESEARCH |  Manipal College of Pharmaceutical sciences, MAHE, Manipal | 2019-Present

Title: “ Fabrication of Ceritinib Binary co-amorphous systems with Plausible Improved Solubility and Bioavailbility. ”

Currently, I am pursuing my Ph.D. under Prof. Krishnamurthy Bhat  at,  Manipal College of Pharmaceutical sciences, MAHE, Manipal.

During my Ph.D., I have worked on the preparartion of co-amorphous systems of Ceritinib with phytomolecules like Rutin and Naringin, which were selected by computational method. The prepared amorphous systesms were characterised using DSC, PXRD and FTIR for homogenous amorphous phase and inter molecular interactions confirmation.  The in vitro solubility, supersaturation potential were studied for solubility improvement. Further, the ex-vivo permeability and role of p-gp efflux transporter were studied using everted gut sac method for the co-amorphous systems. Finally in vivo pharmacokinetics of co-amorphous systems were performed on male wistar rats to examine the translation of in vitro solubility in in vivo bioavaibility using UHPLC. I have also evaluated the co-amorphous systems cytotoxicity, cell death and cell cycle analysis by using SRB assay, AOEB staining and Flow cytometry.
