Responsible for managing Industrial Relations (IR) and Employee Relations (ER), with a strong focus on contractual workforce management. The role ensures harmonious workplace relations, effective grievance handling, statutory compliance under labor laws, and efficient time office operations to support smooth plant/organizational functioning.

  • Maintain cordial industrial and employee relations to ensure a stable and productive work environment.
  • Handle conflicts, disputes, and grievances of contractual workers through structured grievance-redressal mechanisms.
  • Conduct counseling, hearings, and mediation to resolve employee and contractor-related issues.
  • Support management during inspections, audits, and labor-related inquiries.


  • Manage end-to-end contractual labor operations, including onboarding, deployment, attendance, and discipline.
  • Coordinate with contractors to ensure adherence to company policies and labor laws.
  • Monitor contractor performance, manpower strength, and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Ensure proper documentation of contractor agreements, licenses, and statutory records.


  • Ensure compliance with the Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act and other applicable labor laws.
  • Maintain and verify statutory registers, returns, and records related to contract labor.
  • Coordinate with contractors for the timely submission of PF, ESI, wage registers, bonus, leave, and other statutory documents.
  • Liaise with labor department officials during inspections and audits.


  • Address grievances related to wages, attendance, leave, discipline, and workplace conduct.
  • Support disciplinary actions, including issuing notices, conducting domestic inquiries, and maintaining records.
  • Ensure fair and consistent application of disciplinary procedures.


  • Oversee Time Office operations, including attendance tracking, shift management, overtime, and leave records.
  • Ensure accurate data for payroll processing for contractual employees.
  • Coordinate with the payroll and finance teams to resolve attendance or wage-related discrepancies.
  • Maintain discipline and compliance with working hours, and statutory norms.
