Work History

Institute Post-doctoral Fellow

IIT Bombay
Mumbai
03.2023 - Current
  • Developing numerical model of an anti-resonant hollow core fiber for high-capacity data transmission
  • Studying the mode characteristics of plastic optical fiber for short range communication applications

Doctoral Research Fellow

SASTRA Deemed University
Thanjavur
07.2017 - 03.2023
  • Thesis: "Numerical Modelling of Photonic Crystal Fiber for the Generation of Low Pedestal Ultrashort Pulses"
  • Developed and implemented self-similar analysis-based models for PCFs using chloroform and chalcogenide materials, enabling generation of low pedestal ultrashort pulses with increased compression factors.
  • Numerically investigated pulse propagation dynamics in rare-earth ions doped PCFs with spectral and time-dependent gain coefficients for high-quality compression of ultrashort pulses.
  • Analyzed switching dynamics and optical pulse propagation through PCF-based nonlinear optical loop mirrors.

Research Associate Intern

SASTRA Deemed University
Thanjavur
10.2019 - 01.2021
  • Developed a numerical model of a photonic crystal fiber to generate femtosecond pulses based on self-similar analysis.
  • Assisted in the preparation of manuscripts, presentations, and other documents related to the research project.
  • Maintained detailed records of results obtained and conclusions drawn.
