Administration of AIX Logical Volume Manager ,which involved:

• Create and Modify file systems, Logical Volume, Physical Volumes, Volume Group.
• Mirroring and Un-mirroring of volume groups, used hot spare Physical Volume.
• Export and Import non rootvg volume groups across p-Series servers.
• Migration of Logical volumes across PVs in same VG, Copy LVs between VGs.
• Create logical volume copies whenever applicable.

Performed following tasks under Administration of AIX filesystem

• Create/modify JFS/JFS2 file systems on AIX LV using SMIT or commands line.
• Create and allocate JFS and JFS2 File Systems and Log Devices respective.

Daily Management:

• Hands on experience in installing IBM-AIX
• Updating the TL
• Capacity Management - Monitor usage of resources and highlight in case thresholds are exceeded.
• Performance management – to interface with the administrators and ensure smooth functioning.
• Monitoring errpt reports using errpt for any issues.
• Taking Mksysb backup for all servers monthly basis.
• Logging calls in IBM in case of faults/failures
• Escalation point for all SSO related activities for Unix Servers.
• Responsible for Backup Operations of all the servers using TSM.
• Performing Technical evaluation on different products for customer requirement.
• Having exposure to HACMP 5.4
