• Co-ordinate with all relevant internal, as well as external, agencies for design and development throughout the project, viz. From project initiations up to post-launch support.
• Negotiation with the supplier for modification costs (engineering change requests) and timeline.
• Support LCM topics to resolve all manufacturing, weight, quality, and cost-reduction activities.
• Weight reduction, quality improvements, and delivery as per the given target of cost, quality, and weight.

• Handle the team of three design engineers in-house, and also manage work with external agencies.
• Analyze and document the product design input data for Product Technical and Test Standard.
• Create and update BOM throughout the project development.
• Prepare and monitor design estimation, timeline, and resource allocation.
• Update the Lessons Learned and the Design Guidelines in the Product Design.
• Master sections, 3D CAD release, part and assembly drawings, and exploded views.
• Attend customer meetings and reviews on a regular basis.
• Product tooling and CF discussions with the supplier.
• Attend the various builds of the project to address the design issues observed during actual fitment trials, and to provide solutions on the same.
• Monitor project-related DVP testing, and in case of non-compliance, lead the analysis of the causes that have led to the non-conformities, and apply the required corrective actions to solve them.

• Proficient in Unigraphics NX and Catia V5: Design FMEA.
• Projects worked with almost all major automotive manufacturers in India and overseas, like Daimler, Audi, Stellantis (formerly known as FCA), JLR, Nissan, Honda, TATA, MSIL, ISUZU, etc.

• Design of NVH and plastic components, such as carpets, dashboard insulation, wheel arch soft trims, and plastic body shells below the carpets.
