Linux Systems Administration:

• Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems in high-availability environments across on-premises and cloud infrastructures.
• Perform system hardening, patch management (via Ansible AWX and manually), and software updates using YUM, RPM, and custom YUM server configuration.
• Configure and manage Logical Volume Management (LVM), disk partitions, mount points, and filesystems for optimized storage.
• Administer user and group permissions using Linux ACLs, sudoers, and centralized authentication with LDAP.
• Configure and manage key system services such as DNS, NTP, and secure SSH for remote access and troubleshooting.
• Manage Samba and NFS servers for file sharing across multiple clients.
• Handle remote connectivity setup via SSH, SCP (Linux) and PuTTY (Windows).
• Schedule and automate jobs using Crontab, including those with dependencies.
• Resolve common system issues, including boot problems, filesystem errors, and performance degradation.
• Boot systems at various run levels, including single-user mode for recovery and maintenance tasks.
• Maintain system security using SUDO, SELinux, firewalls, and enforce permissions with UID, GID, sticky bit, and quotas.
• Perform user administration: creating, deleting, and managing user accounts and passwords.
• Modify file and directory permissions based on operational or client requirements.
• Reconfigure network settings (e.g., IP address) during server migrations or topology changes.
• Ensure compliance with patching policies by installing and upgrading OS-level packages as per vendor or application team tickets.

Cloud Infrastructure Management:

• Oversee the health, performance, and lifecycle management of over 10000 servers, including (VLab, Non-Production, and Production) across hybrid cloud infrastructures.
• Administer and manage complex hybrid cloud environments, including Microsoft Azure and hybrid platforms.
• Provision, deploy, and maintain cloud-based resources such as Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, Virtual Networks (VNet), etc..., Load Balancers, Application Gateways, and Resource Groups.

Monitoring, Optimization, and Security:

• Monitor infrastructure performance and availability using Azure Monitor, Grafana, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Analyze system logs and resource utilization (CPU, memory, disk, and network) for performance tuning and proactive issue resolution.
• Implement and manage security best practices using tools such as Azure Security Center and Microsoft Defender.
• Establish alerts, action groups, and incident thresholds to ensure prompt detection and resolution of system anomalies.
• Perform backups, snapshots, disaster recovery planning, and replication configurations using Azure Backup and Site Recovery.

Incident, Problem & Change Management:

• Lead and participate in Incident, Problem, and Change Management activities, adhering to ITIL frameworks using ServiceNow platforms.
• Manage Major Incident Management (MIM) processes, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Execute planned service requests and change implementations, ensuring real-time monitoring and quality assurance throughout the change lifecycle.
• Conduct manual server migrations and manage full VM lifecycle operations, including provisioning, decommissioning, and health checks.
• Actively participate in daily stand-up meetings, internal SLA reviews, and monthly governance calls to ensure seamless service delivery.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), knowledge base articles, and system inventories.
• Generate and present performance reports, utilization metrics, and governance review materials to management and customer stakeholders.
