Senior Software Engineer

  • Designed and developed a scalable, event-driven microservice to replace legacy monolithic components for order fulfillment, enabling better maintainability and performance. Integrated technologies like Kafka, Faust (for stream processing), Aerospike, and PostgreSQL.
  • Built and maintained the core order orchestration platform, responsible for validating, hydrating, planning, allocating, and releasing orders to warehouses for Wayfair's supply chain. Ensured timely and accurate flow of order data between systems.
  • Led the implementation of a new warehouse update event pipeline, enabling real-time tracking of shipping, cancellations, and shorted events. Streamlined communication between warehouse systems and supplier-facing services.
  • Engineered a dynamic order rerouting feature, allowing orders to be automatically reassigned to alternative warehouses when fulfillment constraints arose, reducing delays, and increasing the order success rate.
  • Introduced support for a new multichannel fulfillment flow, extending the order management platform's capabilities, and increasing operational flexibility for Wayfair’s logistics teams.

  • Worked on creating HEX migration console which is a platform which helps teams at amazon to move from legacy service hosting infrastructure to the Native AWS platform. Successfully helped 60+ services in migration to native AWS. Technologies used: AWS ECS , AWS EC2, AWS Route53, R53, GUICE for DI.
  • Worked with Amazon MCF team which works for Off Amazon sellers in world and quickly ramped up on it.
  • Improved MCF’s forecasting model for providing input capacity to Amazon MCF sellers by making it event driven. Further improved forecasting model by generating limits in volume(cube) rather than units. Technologies used : AWS Step function, AWS Lambda, AWS Cloudwatch, AWS SNS, AWS SQS, AWS Fargate , Datawarehouse.
  • Worked with MCF marketing team to assist them in tech related solutions which can help in improving MCF business. Worked on providing customer journey on supply chain website to analyse drop rates. Technologies Used : Metrics emissions, Datawarehouse, Adobe omniture , AWS S3.
  • Further helped MCF marketing team in designing a server to host marketing pages created through content management system. Later did integration of server with A/B testing solutions available at Amazon. Technologies Used: API gateway + lambda , AWS S3, A/B testing.

Accomplishments

  • Won 1st prize at Hackathon organised by ADFS Department in Amazon (2022 - 2022) - Created a basic Chat Bot on the Supply chain website which can answer basic query of Amazon Sellers. Chatbot was empowered using AWS Lex and AWS polly with Amazon lambda.
  • Won 1st prize at Hackathon organised by ACT Department in Amazon (2021 - 2021)

  • Developed a mock online portal using the MERN stack to help individuals resolve legal issues by recommending suitable lawyers and streamlining the hiring process.
  • Focused on improving user experience and reducing time to connect with legal representation.

Machine Learning Projects
(Mar 2019 – Apr 2019)

  • Logistic Regression from Scratch:
    Implemented logistic regression using gradient descent on the Wavelet dataset. Analyzed the impact of learning rates and regularization techniques on model performance.
  • Backpropagation Neural Network for Image Classification:
    Built a simple neural network from scratch to classify grayscale images of cats and dogs (50x50 resolution). Preprocessed image data and trained the model using backpropagation to improve classification accuracy.
