Harshvardhan Upadhyay

Hello, I currently hold the position of Design Manger at EY GDS (IXD Team). My journey in the design industry spans over a decade, during which I have been privileged to contribute to esteemed organizations such as Microsoft, Samsung Electronics at their Samsung Design Delhi branch, the Times of India Group, Cognizant, and Thinking Threads Design Pvt Ltd.

Throughout my tenure as a User Experience Designer, I have remained actively engaged in design education, often taking on the role of a Design Mentor. My academic background includes a Master of Design from the Department of Design at IIT Guwahati, where my thesis project earned me the Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Award in 2013. Additionally, my work has been recognized with the prestigious iF Design Award in 2020.

My expertise encompasses a robust knowledge of System Design, User-Centered Design Methodologies, Design Research, Human-Centered Design (HCD), and the principles of UX and UI design. I am known for my comprehensive approach to the design process, which ranges from initial conceptualization and brainstorming to an exacting attention to detail in the final output.

I am proficient with various design tools and my work methodology is characterized by a thorough process of requirement gathering, research, design thinking, implementation, and ongoing support. Beyond my professional endeavors, I am actively involved in multiple design communities, contributing to the collective growth and innovation in the field of design.

• EY Spot Award Awarded with EY Spot Award for performing in multiple client projects.
• iF Design Award 2020 Awarded iF Design Award for Tune Station. Tune Station, a music player application for Samsung TVs was launched in India as a key feature of the Unbox Magic TV Series in 2019.
• Best Employee Award (2019) Got the Best Employee Award for the 4th quarter of year 2019 for the Smart TV Project - Called Tune Station.
• Best Project Award 2017 (Samsung) Got the Best Project Award for the Vanity in 2017. Vanity is a consumer electronics shelf which is used for dry cleaning purposes.
• Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Award 2013 Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Award is instituted by All India National Unity Conference and is awarded to individuals for promoting national unity, integration and brotherhood. The award has been presented for the masters thesis project which is "Indian Identity Program".
• 5th India HCI Conference, 2013 A Research paper has been selected under Students' Design Consortium in 5th India Human Computer Interaction Conference at Banglore.
• KANJI EXPO at Tsukuba University, JAPAN The work was displayed in KANI EXPO at Tsukuba University, JAPAN in July 2013.
