I have a total work experience of 12 year, with a proven track record of delivering measurable marketing campaigns of various scales & sizes.
I have hands on experience of media planning, campaign development, consumer insight, communication development, BTL Promotions, vendor management et all.
All through my career I have been entrusted with assignments that have given me the opportunity to work across medium agonistic marketing assignments wherein I have successfully delivered on key performance matrices.
Was responsible for driving strategic marketing alliances and brand partnerships for the platform and owned IPs. The role at Insider allowed me to find exciting and strategic synergies with businesses and brands across industries and to support the overall revenue function of the brand.
Joined as a Manager – Amar Ujala - IMS in 2014. The division was created to deliver on 2 aspects, firstly, create strategic partnerships with the aim to deliver mutually beneficial results for the stakeholders involved, hence ensuring additional wallet share and positive business mindset for Amar Ujala. Was promoted to the role of Chief Manager on the back of some consistent all round performance, with the additional responsibility of developing partnerships in the Bangalore market for the division. Worked closely with multiple sales teams (print, digital, ooh) and editorial to create multi-faceted marketing solutions for top-notch clients and company.

Though IMS was part of the well-established Amar Ujala Group, being a new division we operated just like a start-up, having the ability to multitask and handle timeline pressure were very important to us. Being a part of the core team working out of the corporate offices I was invariably involved in conceptualization, creative development project strategy & planning and executions. This entailed doing stuff that I would otherwise not get a chance to do. Stuff like, writing a copy for an ad campaign, writing campaign PR releases, getting a video shoots done, finalizing video films on the edit table, supervising event production, celebrity negotiations, movie partnerships breaking world records and more.
My key responsibilities at Delhi Press were two-folds. Firstly, I was to ensure advertising revenues for the group’s 4 flagship magazines viz. a viz. Grehshobha, Sarita, Women’s Era & Champak. Secondly, was responsible for formalizing and executing the revival strategy for the product Champak.
Was successfully able to re-establish great working relations with some key clients in the Delhi Market, that included the likes of Dabur, GSK, PepsiCo, Reckitt, Amway, LG & Ranbaxy to name a few that translated into enhanced revenues for the group. Also, was able to successfully turn around the P&L for Champak by creating and executing multiple brand IPs and cross marketing. Partnerships with brands like Dabur Red Paste, Horlicks, Pepsodent to name a few.
My first introduction to the world of media marketing. I was part of the Bengali Magazines team in Delhi that was primarily overseeing the advertising revenues for the 5 well established magazines
I took keen interest in driving the IP sponsorship cum activation business.
During my tenure was able to materialize 4 non-print deals from the Delhi market with revenues upwards of Rs. 15 Lakhs. Grew the category I was handling by 120% year on year.
Also, for a period of approx. 5 months was responsible for leading a young team of 3 members as the incumbent manager had moved out. I was reporting directly to the divisions CEO based out of Kolkata.
First job out of college, this was a campus placement. I was the only one out of the 300+ applicants who got selected. As an account planner & BD manager, I was expected to deliver on two parameters; firstly, manage the existing accounts in terms of work flow, project delivery, account mining, revenue optimization.
I was assigned a team of 3 (2 creative & 1 copy) who were in a dotted line reporting arrangement. An extensive part of the job was to brain storm with the copy and creative teams and come up with communication and brand strategy.
Secondly, I was also mandated with on-boarding new clients for the digital services wing. In my tenure of 2 years I was able to get 6 new clients on board and generate revenues off little over Rs. 1.70 Cr combined.
This has been by far one of the most exciting assignments in my career. Adept in hindsight was the perfect learning ground.
