Project #1:

  • Project Name: Dam Surveillance App
  • Client Name: Melbourne Water
  • Organization: TCS
  • Duration:May 2022 to till date

Platform: Pega PRPC 8.2.8 (Pre-Upgrade) & 8.7.1 (Upgraded) on Pega Cloud.

Melbourne Water’s Dam Engineers, Lead Operators and Dam Operators have sought a digital solution in order to replace manual paper-based forms that are required for dam inspections. This digital solution will provide our Dam employees with a mobile app that will have both ‘online’ and ‘offline’ capabilities.

The application enables the data capture required to be done through the mobile app. Users can assign cases to themselves at DAM site office where network connectivity is available and then go to actual dam site to perform necessary inspections and enter data in the mobile application. At the actual site, network connectivity is poor. The offline capability of the mobile app is leveraged to allow users to perform the inspection. Once users are back to dam site office and device is connected to internet, data is synchronized to the Pega cloud.

The app is live on Pega platform 8.2.8. An upgrade is being performed to platform version 8.7.1 and the upgraded app went live in September, 2022.
