

I am Dr. M. Kanchilakshmi, M.Phil., B.Ed., Ph.D., currently serving as Assistant Professor in the Department of Zoology at Thiravium College of Arts and Science for Women, Kailasapatti, Theni District, Tamil Nadu. My academic and professional journey has been strongly rooted in Zoology, Environmental Biology, Vermitechnology, Biodiversity Conservation, and Higher Education Teaching. Over the years, I have developed a strong commitment towards teaching, research, student mentoring, environmental awareness, and academic administration.
My career reflects a continuous effort to combine scientific research with effective classroom teaching, with the belief that research-oriented teaching creates motivated learners and socially responsible graduates. Beginning of My Research Career
My research career formally began in September 2012, when I was appointed as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a UGC-sponsored Major Research Project at the PG and Research Centre of Zoology, Jayaraj Annapackiam College for Women (Autonomous), Periyakulam. I worked under the guidance of Dr. Arockiam Thaddeus, Associate Professor in Zoology, from September 2012 to August 2015.
