• Managed a Hardware refresh project involving elimination of Out of Warranty ESXi Hosts & Hyper-Vs, building new ESXi or Hyper-V Infrastructure based on the Project requirements, Migrating the VM Workloads using VMware vSphere Replication, VMware Standalone convertor

&VMware vMotion solutions with the recommended standards & security baselines defined by VMware.

• Coordinating with neighbor teams with Various upgrades & bug fix activities such as ACI Solutions on Network layer, Storage Array Firmware & Code Upgrades activities on different Storage vendors with the required Pre-Checks & Validations with respect to Hypervisor Layer.

• Involved in handling Various P1 Issues across the existing Hypervisor environments, creating the required KB articles and RCA Analysis.

• Managed the environmental transition from the rest of world Cognizant Data Centers and worked on deploying new hypervisor infrastructure & providing Virtual workloads for other Infra Services.

• Proactive environmental monitoring through vRealize operations manager and fine tuning the alerts for an effective alert management strategy.

• Orphaned Disk Cleanup – Validation & deletion of the Orphaned VMs & Disks across the hypervisor infrastructure which resulted in reclaiming 10+ TB of disk space.

• Incident Management – Responsible for handling P1 Incidents, Ticket Auditing for the team members & providing feedbacks, Worked on demand reductions strategies for the recurrent Incidents & requirements from project teams.

• Change Management – Responsible for Creating, Implementing & Auditing the Change Requests created for performing required activities on the Hypervisor infrastructure.

• Leading & Mentoring a Team of L2 Members on managing the daily operational tasks and Environmental based Infrastructure monitoring.

• Contributed for ESXi Upgrade Project involving validations for the ESXi patch upgrade using Update Manager or SSH with the VMware defined standards and security baselines, Upgrading VMware Tools and VM Hardware Version to the equivalent ESXi version & Guest OS.

• Participated in Maintenance Activities which are planned on regular basis involving vCenter Server and Its components reboot based on the Patch installations and validations for various other activities like Data Center Shutdown activities & Rack consolidation activities.

• Contributed on standardizing the Private Cloud Environment with VM segregation based on Guest Operating System to address the ESXi Licensing, Storage layer validations with respect to maintain HBA redundancy checks & Hardware layouts.

• Implementing McAfee MOVE Security agents and SVA VMs on the ESXi hosts across the infrastructure and maintaining its compliance status.

• Responsible for handling Incidents, Work Orders for VM Deployments through a 24*7 Shift cycle with the Standard SLAs.
