  • As a Project Quality Manager (PQM) my main responsibility is to coordinate during product development the Quality Assurance activities aimed at ensuring the achievement of project Quality / Time / Content targets and customer satisfaction, in accordance with the processes of the Nokia & NI / Fixed Networks Quality Management System (QMS).
  • As an integrated member of the Project Management Team (PMT), in close cooperation with other project leaders of different functions in the organization contributing to the development of the product release.

  • Establish the release Project Quality Plan (PQP) which defines the quality assurance focus points and specific quality / customer acceptance criteria to be achieved during the end-to-end product development activities.
  • Ensure that Lessons Learned / experience feedback from previous projects are taken into account to improve product/solution quality and to reduce risks.
  • Throughout the development phases of the project, pro-actively monitor project progress via R&D-project metrics (e.g. test progress, defect rate, …) aswell as adherence to the PQP Quality Assurance actions, and ensure corrective / improvement actions are taken where needed.
  • For specific areas of concern/risk conduct detailed In-Process Quality Checks (IPQC) and/or formal Internal Audits and identify + drive improvement actions.
  • Pro-actively monitor project risks : contribute to risk evaluation/scoring and prioritizing. triggering the project team members for attention & follow up on problem/risk areas, and facilitating corrective action where appropriate
  • Pro-actively provide management attention to major risks or issues where it may be needed to avoid / recover from negative impacts on the project.
  • Pro-actively work with the PMT team to ensure completeness of CREATE process Decision Point criteria, and cast the Decision Point approval vote for Quality
  • After project delivery ensure that Lessons Learned / experience feedback is collected as input for continuous improvement in next projects.
  • Monitor customer reported product defect trends and general customer satisfaction feedback, and in case of negative performance and/or specific major customer complaints work with the various involved functions to perform a root cause analysis on the underlying structural reasons, and follow up that lessons learned improvement actions are implemented
     On a case by case basis assist in the preparation for and/or participate in the review with the impacted customer of the performed root cause analysis and improvement actions.
     As a qualified Internal Auditor for the ISO9000 and TL9000 QMS standard identify possible weaknesses in the QMS in cooperation with the BG Quality function, perform internal audits, assist the groups which you support as PQM to prepare for formal external audits, facilitate external audit interviews, and follow up on the implementation of identified corrective action requests from both internal and external audits.
